The Women’s Institute

WI LogoThe Aston Cantlow Womens Institute  has closed down, so the nearest one is at Wootton Wawen who meet at xxxx pm in xxxxxxxx on the first Tuesday of every month. Presentations and formal business start at 7:30 after a chance to socialise and look at information about trips and courses from County. A calendar of interesting topics is presented and visitors are very welcome. If you can’t get to the Wooton Wawen meetings, there are other nearby W.I.s at Alcester, and Henley-in-Arden.

JUNE

Tuesday June 8th 2021 –  Talk from the Rev. James Holden, founder of The African Oyster Trust Charity (regarding his transition from the corporate world, to creating the trust which mainly supports educational activity in the Gambia)- via Zoom or in Village Hall.

JULY

Date tbc – “Summer Garden Party” at Tutnells Hill Farm, Newnham by kind invitation of our Treasurer, Mary Summerfield.

Good Companions

Good Companions meet monthly at Wilmcote Village Hall on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30pm.  They also have a varied programme of events aimed largely towards women. There is a small annual fee (around £7.00) for attendance at the meetings and visitors are welcome. For more information contact Yvonne Burt on 01789 293287.
